Murder suspect nabbed; missing juvenile found

A 17-year-old man wanted in a Bibb County murder was located and arrested on Camelot Road as the result of the search for a missing Jones County juvenile.Darrell Stanley was found in the vehicle containing the 14-year-old runaway June 13.

Deputy chief honored for decades of service

The Gray Fire Department paid tribute last week to a retiring volunteer firefighter who served citizens and fellow firefighters for three decades.

Patterson pitches no-hitter as educator, coach

Cecil Patterson brought success to Jones County schools, both athletically and academically, and he says it is due in large part to the philosophy he learned early in life.Patterson, 70, retired from the local school system in 2013 after a productive career as baseball coach and administrator.
