A candidate forum is scheduled Monday, which is also the beginning of Early Voting for the May 19 primary election.The first day to Early Vote in the May 19 election is April 27, and that is held in Jones County at the Elections Office at the Government Center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Pope speaks on ways to engage young people

Jones County’s Suicide Prevention Coalition met in a new location last week with an added feature and the inclusion of law enforcement officers.
Many thanks to the Jones County High School FFA Club for their help at Round Oak Ancestors’ Memory Park. They helped with many chores; broadcasting 10-10-10, trimming, raking, decorating the Easter tree and other chores. Pictured are: Brexton Bradley, Harley Brinson, Aadrina Dispain, Katelyn Hatcher, Emma Herin, Kaiden Hoffman, Sophia Hudson, Nick Jackson and Liam Sheffield led by Justin Martin, JCHS Agriculture Teacher, who cut the grass.
