By the middle of the next decade, Georgians may be able to travel between Atlanta and Savannah by high-speed rail, avoiding traffic and expensive air fares.

Council approves ban for heavy trucks on city streets

Gray City Council members made it official at their May meeting that it is unlawful for vehicles in excess of 8,000 lbs. to drive on city streets.Mayor Ed Barbee called the May 5 meeting to order, and the second reading of the amended truck ordinance was first on the agenda.
