Doris Haulsee Rowland passed away at her home Monday, Jan. 19, 2026. A celebration of life for Doris will be held at a later date for her family and close friends.
Doris was born on June 13, 1943, in Wytheville, Virginia, to the late Aubrey Ray and Treva Boyer Haulsee. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Rowland, Sr. and her brother, James (Jim) Haulsee.
Doris and Jerry enjoyed evenings of square dancing the night away and also enjoyed a quiet day on the back porch admiring the garden. She was a mentor to her granddaughters, teaching them how to sew and prepare the garden abundance for canning and freezing. Doris found joy in spoiling her grandchildren and was a wonderful loving grandmother and great-grandmother and would do anything for her girls, especially Kensley and Kalli. Her little fur babies, Chance and Kelo, lived a spoiled life as well.
Her remembrance and legacy for her children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren will be one of a spirited, resilient, tenacious, diligent woman. She will also be remembered for her devotion to her family which was an inspiration.
Doris is survived by her children, Greg (LeAnn) Wilson and their children, Ashley (Chris) Libby, Ashton (Jim) Gore, and Dallas Harper, Caroline (Ray) Wilcox and their children, Kasey (Justice) Soles, Kaley (Jeremy) Reynolds, and Kolby Clark; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
