Daniel Wayne Harrell passed away on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026, at Putnam General Hospital. A graveside service was held Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Elam Memorial Gardens at 3:00 p.m. with a visitation for family and friends one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Tracy Hipps officiated.
Danny was born on Jan. 12, 1970, in Fort Pierce, FL to the late Daniel Wingate and Loretta Jean Jones Harrell. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Brant Harrell. Danny enjoyed going to the support center in Putnam County. He was so loved there, and he loved them all. Danny could play music on the piano with one finger.
He loved his Krystal hamburgers, Coca-Cola, and music. Danny proved the medical community wrong. Everything they said he couldn’t do, he did; walking, talking, and riding a bike before he could walk, which Barbara and Brant taught him to ride. Danny loved his Sugar baby (Mama).
He carried a picture of his mother with him always, which he looked at every day. He wore his earphones to listen to his music and would sing along with his favorite ones. Danny had a love of horses which he would watch on his tablet.
Danny will always be remembered for his kindness to others, a warm heart full of love to share, sense of humor, determined spirit and his courageousness. He would always laugh when Barbara kissed him on the cheek.
He is survived by his sister, Barbara (Mike) Cox and their children, Katie (Roscoe) Rowe, Megan (Josh) Wright, and Bree (Tim) Jackson. Nieces and nephews, Brandon (Whitney) Harrell, Jason (Kelly) Harrell, and Christy (Joey) Richard and many great nieces and nephews.
