May 5 is the annual National Day of Prayer for America. And America definitely needs prayer! So join with other Americans in praying for our nation. Pray that (1)America will repent of its rejection of Jesus as Lord; (2)and will repent of sins like abortion, the alphabet list of sexual immorality, greed and materialism; (3)that America will experience a Holy Spirit awakening from the President on down to the average citizen; and (4)that America will return to its Biblical and Constitutional roots and throw wokeness onto the trash pile of history.
God tells us in 2 Chron 7:14 “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and heal their land.” God tells the Christians, those called by His name, to humble themselves, to seek a face to face relationship with Him, to stop involving themselves in sinful things, and to take time to really pray.
This is on the Church, not the unsaved. God doesn’t expect the unsaved to plead for America and so He doesn’t charge them with the task. He charges His church, His people. He expects His people to be His people and to “stand in the gap” (Eze 22:30) for America. Then He will hear and heal our land.
