Ronald Joseph Gazboda, 75, Gainesville, GA, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2023. A funeral service was held Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel. The family greeted friends following the service.
Son of the late Joseph Edward and Elaine Rose Conklin Gazboda, Mr.
Gazboda was a 1965 graduate of Southwest Miami High School and attended Miami-Dade Community College. He went on to join the United States Navy in 1965 as a photographer. He also worked as a police officer for 20 years in Coral Gables, Florida.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and the Police Benevolent Association.
Mr. Gazboda loved boating, softball, bowling, and playing golf. He even tried out for the Philadelphia Phillies baseball team.
Mr. Gazboda is survived by his children, Brian Gazboda (Kim), Ronald Gazboda, Jr.
(Katie), Angelina Simms (Trevor), Christina Gazboda, Christopher Gazboda, and Matthew Gazboda; grandchildren, Audrey Gazboda, Ethan Gazboda, Sophie April, 19, 2023
Gazboda, Owen Gazboda, Caden Gazboda, Cameron Gazboda, Connor Gazboda, Caleb Gazboda, Isabelle Simms, and Colton Simms; brother, Doug Gazboda (Karen); sisters, Debbie Gazboda, Janice Medland (Steve), and Sue Payne (Terry); and numerous nieces and nephews.
