Patsy Jackson Califf, a beloved mother, friend, and nature enthusiast, passed away on October 20, 2023, at the age of 59. Her departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love her. Patsy’s life was a testament to the beauty of simplicity, the warmth of friendship, and the unwavering love for the natural world.
A memorial service to celebrate Patsy’s life was held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Gray Memorial Chapel. The family received friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am.

Survivors include, son, Blake Califf of Milledgeville, GA; sister, Betty Todd (Roger) of Zebulon, GA; brother, Bobby Jackson of Hawkinsville, GA; friend, Mike Femrite of Gray, GA; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Helen Rucker Jackson; sister, Barbara Gail Holzer; and brother, Randy Jackson.
Patsy was an avid reader, and her home was a sanctuary for countless books that she cherished.
Her passion for reading was only surpassed by her capacity to share her love for literature with those around her. Patsy’s wisdom and insight were a source of inspiration for many, and her ability to spark meaningful conversations was a testament to her thoughtful and inquisitive nature. Patsy’s life was not just a solitary journey; she was a devoted friend who offered unwavering support and love to those who were fortunate to call her a confidant.
Her friends remember her as a beacon of kindness and reliability, always there to lend an ear or offer a comforting presence. Patsy’s loyalty was a rare treasure, and her friendship was a gift that brought comfort and joy to countless lives.
