Oct. 26, 1945 - Nov. 16, 2023
James A. “Jimmy” Griffin, Sr., of Gray, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home on November 16, 2023, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on October 26, 1945, in Macon, Georgia, to the late Arthur and Mildred Griffin.
Jimmy was a man of many virtues, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, dedication, and hard work. As the owner of Griffin & Associates Painting, he poured his heart into his work and was known for his selflessness and gentle spirit. His strong faith was evident in his membership at Baptist Gospel Mission.
Outside of work, Jimmy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a deep passion for hunting, fishing, and raising farm animals. His enthusiasm extended to the football field, where he enjoyed watching Jones County football and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs.
Jimmy lived to make everyone around him happy, sharing his infectious joy with those he encountered. A lover of the outdoors, he cherished the beauty of mountains and the thrill of old cars. Jimmy had a playful side, enjoying a good prank and spreading laughter wherever he went. Above all, he loved the Lord, his family, and his community.
