Mr. Rodney Wayne Jackson, 69, of Round Oak, passed away Sunday, Dec. 17, 2023. Graveside funeral services were at Sunshine Church Cemetery, Wednesday, Dec.
20, 2023, at 11:00AM, with the Reverend Darrell Burns and Dr.
Greg Thompson officiating. The family greeted friends at Hart’s Mortuary Jones County Chapel, Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2023, from 5:00PM to 7:00PM.
Rodney was part owner of Jackson Brothers Auto Parts and Garage and served the community there for fifty years. A native son of Jones County, Rodney was proud of the fact that he had lived on the same landhisentirelife. He loved spending time with his granddaughters and working on his farm, and especially enjoyed working his cattle and building fences. Rodney was an avid coon hunter for most of his life and even participated in competition hunts.
Mr. Jackson is preceded in death by his son, Joseph “Joe” Jackson; parents, Ernest and Emily Jackson; and brothers, Jerry Jackson and Jones Jackson. He is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Kathy Jackson; son, John Jackson (Lindsey) of Round Oak; and grandchildren, Summer and Charley Jackson of Round Oak; brother, Larry Jackson; sister-in-law, Barbara Jackson; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sunshine Church Cemetery Fund, 2267 Monticello Hwy, Round Oak, GA 31038.
