Mrs. Annie L. White, 85, of Gray, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2024. The family will greet friends at Hart’s Mortuary Jones County Chapel, Friday, August 23, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Private burial will be at Cedar Ridge Cemetery.
Annie was born in Gray to the late James and Genie Mae Woodall, Sr. After the death of her mother in childbirth, she was raised by her devoted grandmother, Annie Pearl Gilmore. A life-long citizen of Jones County, she was very active in the community and chaired various boards over the years. A highly regarded educator, Annie taught science and home economics for over thirty-five years, and her influence in the county can still be seen today in the lives of her former students. Annie was a faithful Christian and a member of Real-Life Church. She will be dearly missed by her family and all those who knew her.
In addition to her parents and her grandmother, Annie is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Issac White and siblings Herman Woodall Alexander, James Eugene Woodall, Aunties Gussie L Evans, Vivian Massey.
Annie is survived by her children, Windsor Craig White and Juanze Keith White (Karena); grandchildren, Marquis White, Kimberly White, Dr.
Oberziner White, Ozell Davis, Bryson White, Brandon White, and Paris White; and eight great-grandchildren.
