Feb. 8, 2025
With hearts both heavy with sorrow and grateful for a life well-lived, we share the passing of Vickie Jane Bledsoe, who departed this world peacefully on Saturday, February 8, 2025, surrounded by the love of her cherished family.
A Celebration of Life was held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Gray Memorial Chapel, with a time for family and friends to gather at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Rev. Brian Litch officiated as we honor the beautiful soul that Vickie was.
Vickie’s spirit was as vibrant as it was unwavering. She was sassy and kind-hearted, feisty yet compassionate, strongwilled and sweet all at once, a woman who loved deeply, laughed fully, and never backed down from what she believed in. She had a heart that melted at the sight of babies, an affection for Mickey Mouse, and a love for the simple joys in life, whether tending to her beloved dogs or spending time canning the fruits of her labor.
Vickie enjoyed fishing and family gatherings for fish fries.
Vickie was reunited in eternal peace with those who went before her, her beloved husband, Charles Marion Bledsoe; her parents, Gilmer Westmoreland Sr. and Susie Sawyer; her brother, Randy Westmoreland; and her twin sister, Ricky Westmoreland.
Left to carry her love forward are her children: Christy Jackson and her daughters, Lindsay Jackson and Ashley White; James Bledsoe and his children, Hayley Elliott (Bailey), Bryson Bledsoe, and Dylan Bledsoe. Her brothers, Johnny Westmoreland (Janice) and Gilmer Westmoreland Jr., will hold her memory close, along with her precious great-grandchildren, Oaklyn Elliott, Adnois Diaz, Athena White, and Elona White.
Though Vickie’s earthly journey has come to an end, her legacy of love, loyalty, and resilience will live on in the hearts of those who knew and adored her.
Gray Memorial Chapel is honored to serve the Bledsoe family during this time. Online condolences and cherished memories may be shared at graymemorialchapel. com.
