Volley Hounds split pair of region matches

VOLLEY HOUNDS

The Volley Hounds got into the win column last week as region play began, going on the road to get a split in a tri-match against Locust Grove and Hampton. While Jones County lost 25-22 in both games to Locust Grove, they did prevail against Hampton, winning the first game 25-18 and 25-17 to clinch the overall victory.

JCHS returns to region play Sept. 2 against Eagles Landing, ELCA, and Hampton, but the pace will hardly be slow between now and then. Instead, a strong diet of non-region matches awaits, giving plenty of chances to finetune things. Jones County (2-5) hosts Tattnall Square on Thursday before next Tuesday’s home tri-match against Mary Persons and Lake Oconee Academy. JCHS also goes to Upson Lee on Thursday, where it will also face Ola.
