A late rally by the Greyhounds fell short on Friday at Woodland as the Wolfpack handed Jones County its first loss of the season, 20-16.
Friday's contest, the region opener for both teams, was marked by inclement weather that interrupted play for approximately 90 minutes.
The Greyhounds, 1-1 overall and 0-1 in the region, wrap up their three-game road swing next Friday at Hampton, which beat Stockbridge 28-27 on Friday.
