Buford Lee Chastain, 74, of Franklinton Road, died Friday, May 20, 2022, at a local hospital. The family greeted friends from 10:00am to 11:00am, Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Gray Memorial Chapel. Memorial services followed at 11:00am, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ronnie Campbell officiating.
Mr. Chastain was born June 23, 1947, in Ellijay, Georgia and has lived in Dry Branch for the past twenty-four years. He was the son of the late Grover Chastain and Helen Hudson. Mr. Chastain honorably served his country with the United States Navy and was a retired electrician for Brown and Williamson Tobacco Corporation.
Mr. Chastain is survived by his wife of fifty-three years: Diane Chastain; daughters: Kimberly Johns and Jody Chastain; grandchildren: Ali Kitchens and Taylor Chastain; four great-granddaughters; brothers: Jerry Chastain, Patrick Chastain and Richard Chastain.
