Christopher “Chris” Keith Plunkett, 63, of Jones County, GA, passed away Monday, Nov. 14, 2022, after a brief illness.
A funeral service was held Sunday, Nov. 20, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Hart’s Chapel at the Cupola. The family greeted friends following the service. Burial was private at Macon Memorial Park.
Son of the late Hansel Bernard “Jim” and Kay Mercer Plunkett, Chris was a hard-working man and dedicated to his business, Blair Awning and Siding Supply Co., for many years. He loved fishing in his pond and working in his yard. He enjoyed traveling, making trips to casinos and resorts all around the United States and abroad. Chris loved all southern rock but was a dedicated fan of Gregg Allman and the Allman Brothers Band.
He made many trips to the Beacon to see them and was a lifetime member of the Big House Museum.
In addition to his parents, Chris was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy A. Plunkett. Chris is survived by his sisters; Susan P. Moore of Macon, Georgia, Beverly P. Rogerson (Donnie) of Gray, Georgia, and Laura P. Hall (Tim) of Watkinsville, Georgia; nieces and nephew; Ansley, Hannah, and Jake Hall; aunts and an uncle; many cousins; and special friend, Cheryle Wolfenbarger.
