Connie Elisabeth Loyd was born to Jacqueline and Allen Loyd in Macon, GA on Dec.
30, 1965, and passed away on May 1, 2022, in Phoenix, AZ. As the youngest child and only daughter, Connie held a special place in the hearts of her parents and four older brothers. She was an honor graduate of Jonesco Academy and excelled in the classroom as well as on the basketball court and golf course. Connie received a AS in Electrical Engineering from Middle GA College and attended Southern Polytechnical Inst. (Southern Tech).
She received a BS Management and Information Systems and Services from Ashford Univ. a Subsidiary of the Univ. of Arizona. Connie served as the Regional Manager of Freeport McMoran in Phoenix for almost 18 years. Former positions included IT Infrastructure manager for AZ Dept. of Health Services, 4 years Vice president of Information Technology for the Montana State Fund for 5 years, and Flight Operations IT Lead for Delta Airlines for 7 years. Connie liked relaxing on the beach and playing Texas Hold-em poker and hanging out with her beloved dogs and cats. She is survived by her mother, Jacqueline L. Loyd of Gray; partner for 15 years, Cindy Byrne of Phoenix, AZ; brothers, Russell (Ann) of Macon, Terry (Kathy) of Midway, Jack (Debbie) of Gray and Malcom (Barbara) of Macon, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Allen C. Loyd.
Memorial services will be private. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”
