Rickey (Bull) Smith, of Gray, Georgia, entered eternal rest on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022, after an extended illness at Navicent Health-Atrium Hospital. A visitation was held at Gray Memorial Chapel, 4378 Gray Highway, Wednesday, Aug. 24 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A memorial service was held Thursday, Aug. 25, in the chapel of Gray Memorial at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Gary Lamb officiating.
Rickey was a graduate of Jones County High School, class of 1978. He retired from Southern Company after 21 years of service as a NDE inspector. Rickey loved to fish, deer hunting, playing softball and barbecuing for his family, especially for family reunions of which he only missed one in fifty-one years.
Bull is survived by his wife: Lynette Bowen Smith; son: Kevin (Sandy) Smith; stepson: Charlie (Samantha) Moss; grandchildren: Caroline and Cayden Smith and Lydia and Linnie Moss. Bull is also survived by his parents: Martha and Willie Frank Smith; siblings: Franklin Smith, Nunnie (Paige) Smith, and Teresa (Matt) McKeever, as well as a multitude of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
