Sarah Frances Dooley

Sarah Frances Dooley, age 83, of Jones County passed away peacefully at home on June 23, 2024.

Born on June 22, 1941, in Laurens, SC, Sarah lived a life full of love, dedication, and service to others. She was a cherished member of Parkway Baptist Church and found joy in her work as an apartment manager for over 20 years. Later, she thrived as a supervisor, server, and hostess at Sunset Station Casino in Las Vegas. Sarah had an undeniable zest for life and a deep appreciation for flowers, family, and especially her grandchildren, who never failed to bring a smile to her face.

She was known for her patience, vocal nature, honesty, and immense care for others. Sarah’s big heart and generosity were clear to all who knew her. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, always putting her family’s needs above her own.

Sarah is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, James “Jim” Patrick Dooley; her children, Curtis (Diane) Bryant and Patricia Kyle; her sister, Kathy Sullivan; and her cherished grandchildren: Richard Moutray, Kenny (Holly) Bryant, Jessica Moutray, Chris (Kendra) Bryant, Carrie (Richard) Ball, Michael Barton, Aidien White, Addie Moutray, Thomas Ball, Freyia Barton, Bree Bryant, Kiaya Cobb, Macey Ryles, Harley (Devin) Strozier, CJ Bryant, and Ozzie Strozier. Her parents, John Wilber Price, Sr., and Clara Price Batson; her brother, John Wilber Price, Jr.; and her granddaughter, Kimberly Moutray preceded her in death.

A private service will be held at a later date.
