Thomas Warren “Tommy” Holloway, 72, of Highway 18 West, passed away Sunday, Aug. 28, 2022, at a local hospital. The family greeted friends from 1:00pm - 2:00pm, Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2022, at Bradley Baptist Church in Jones County. Services followed in the church sanctuary with Rev. Steve Johnson officiating. Interment was at Riverside Cemetery in Macon.
Mr. Holloway was born Feb. 13, 1950, in Macon and had lived in Jones County most of his life. He was the son of the late Thomas Hughes Holloway and Louise Stembridge Holloway. Mr. Holloway was retired from Service News Group as well as the Jones County Convenience Centers.
He loved to be outdoors, riding his four-wheeler, hunting and fishing.
Mr. Holloway served his community with the Jones County Fire and Rescue for thirty years as well as serving as a Jones County Sheriff’s Department Auxiliary Deputy and the Gray Police Department Auxiliary Police. He was a member of Bradley Baptist Church
Mr. Holloway is survived by his sisters: Linda Maddox (Tyler Mitchell) and Debra Wilson (Gus); brother: Ronald Holloway; extended family: Bobby and Joyce Coulter; sisters: Tammy Coulter, Tonya Knowles (Billy), Tisha Amerson and Terri Robertson (Eric); best friends: Bart Jackson and Tom Turner and by several nieces and nephews.
