RACKET HOUNDS
The tennis court brought one final challenge heading into spring break for both the boys and girls tennis teams from Jones County High School last week as both traveled to Macon’s John Drew Smith Tennis Center to take on ACE.
In a match serving as a tune-up before next week’s region tournament, both teams fell to a pair of highly rated Gryphon teams by scores of 5-0.
Both teams compete in the region tournament next Tuesday and Wednesday at Richard Craig Park in McDonough, where the top four finishing teams will advance to the state tournament, and the top two finishers will host in the first round. The Lady Greyhounds will be going for a repeat as region champs after winning the title last year.
