Hounds strike fast to advance past Northside

If there was ever a microcosm of the quick-strike and big-play capability of the Greyhounds on offense and speed on defense, it was flaunted in a big way on Friday against Northside Columbus to open the state playoffs.

Hounds drop two-point loss to experienced New Hampstead

At the end of a long Saturday, the Greyhounds wrapped up the Hooping In Middle Georgia Tournament as host by taking on New Hampstead. As the final game of the day, tipoff ran later than scheduled due to games earlier in the day being backed up on time as the day went on.

Since she was a freshman, Kimber Kent has been a standout for the Lady Greyhounds as a two-sport star, helping Jones County to a state and region title in softball and a berth in the girls golf state tournament.

Milton, Bulldogs run away with win over No. 9 Ole Miss

Georgia put on its best ground game performance of the season last Saturday against No. 9 Ole Miss. The No. 1 Bulldogs (10-0, 7-0 SEC) rushed for a season-high 300 yards and five touchdowns in a 52-17 win over the Rebels (8-2, 5-2). They also averaged a season-high 8.6 yards per rush as a team.
