Hounds finish spring with strong scrimmage

The final step prior to down time followed by summer workouts for teams across Georgia is a spring scrimmage, which includes goals to do multiple things well to put a final bow on spring practice.

Aniya Canty’s softball career at Jones County has been beyond what many could dream of. In four seasons, she has been part of three Elite 8 teams, a state champion and helped bring home a coveted region title. But Canty’s softball career is hardly over.

Youth Football and Cheerleading sign-ups go through Aug. 1

Sign-ups run until Aug. 1 for Jones County Youth Football and Cheerleading. The age for both is 5-12 and the cost of $130 per participant. Uniform fitting will be mandatory and birth certificates should be presented when registering. For more info, go to JonesCountyGa.com
