Golfers storm to personal bests against Alcovy

Despite rain that was heavy at times, Jones County’s golfers set several personal bests last Thursday in a home match against Alcovy. As a team, the Greyhounds team score of 171 was their lowest of the season with Cameron Page’s 43 and Barrett Beasly’s 38 being personal bests.

Region play is well underway for both the Greyhounds and Lady Greyhounds tennis teams, who dropped matches to Ola last week. JCHS dropped the boys match 3-2 and 4-1 on the girls’ side of things.

CRMS splits two Clifton Ridge split a pair of baseball games last week, falling 8-6 to Upson Lee and beating Pike County 13-5. Chase Hasty gave up four runs over three and two-thirds of an inning, getting the win with Avery Horne coming along in relief in the final two and one-third of inning.
