A late schedule change by the Greyhounds last week sent them to the Locust Grove Invitational, and it was a circumstance in which they thrived.
Competing in a field of 18 teams, Jones County won first overall.

Top-ranked Georgia (12-0) was able to overcome a slow start against Georgia Tech (5-7) and defeated the Yellow Jackets 37-14 at Sanford Stadium on Saturday.

Fall sports season highlighted by multiple region titles

If the Greyhounds region handed out an all-sports trophy for fall sports, then the most recent one would easily rest at Jones County.
As the winter sports season arrives, the fall is in the fresh rear view, one in which three different Lady Greyhound or Greyhound teams captured region titles.

Ross, Blue Raiders win third in a row
Middle Tennessee State closed its season on a three-game winning streak with Saturday’s 33-28 win against Florida International. JCHS product Teldrick Ross played a substantial role in the win, having three tackles and a pass breakup.
