The Greyhounds’ situation was a familiar one on Friday night against Stockbridge. In the closing minutes of the game, Jones County needed to drive the football downfield in order to close things out and get the win.

Big plays on offense, defense, and special teams put the Greyhounds in position to win on Friday night against Stockbridge. A late time-consuming drive by Jones County sealed the win, as a one-yard burst by Jacob Skinner ended up being the go-ahead score with 47 seconds left in a 46-42 win.

Last week was the Greyhounds’ first week of the season in which they were not getting ready for a game on Friday night. Despite that, it wasn’t an off week, not in the minds of players and coaches.
