Gray Station Middle School took the field last Wednesday, playing host to Jasper County. The Greyhounds fell 14-8 and take on Clifton Ridge next Wednesday at Greyhound Field. CRMS beat Lamar County last week 18-6.

Hounds unsatisfied despite top-5 finish in Carrollton

Saturday’s OrthoWest Invitational carried its own degree of prestige, attracting some of the state’s top cross country teams. But of the races held there during the season, it’s not the biggest one. That event, by the way, is the GHSA state championship meet the weekend of Nov. 7-8.

Hounds bounce back to shut out Hampton

HAMPTON — The Greyhounds coaching staff ran into a good problem to have on Sunday.After posting a shutout of Hampton on Friday night, Jones County coaches searched at multiple places in town to find enough doughnuts to have on hand for players making their way to the building for Sunday workouts.
