Middle school girls win title; boys take second

League supremacy was at stake last Tuesday when Jones County hosted the Middle Georgia Middle School Athletic League (MGMSAL) meet on its home course. And both middle school teams delivered, with the girls’ team claiming a region title and the boys’ team taking second.

Despite being short-handed, Greyhounds outrun elite teams for top-five finish

More than 5,500 runners brought top teams from not just Georgia but also bordering states like Florida, Alabama and North Carolina to Saturday’s Alexander/Asics Invitational.

Hound Walk to be held before Friday’s home game

Jones County fans can once again cheer on the Greyhounds before Friday’s game as another Hound Walk will take place in the parking lot between the gymnasium and the field house.Buses will transport players from the dressing room to the upper end of the park lot near the gym at approximately 6:15 p.

Greyhounds prevail in OT against McDonough

The Greyhounds were down early on Friday at McDonough. But they were anything but out. Jones County rallied from a 14-0 first-quarter deficit on Friday before winning 27-24 against the Warhawks in overtime as Kaden Canty took the ball in from nine yards away for the game-winning score.
