There’s a bit of time for the Volley Hounds before their next scheduled region match on Sept. 2. But that hardly means that this is a time for rest for Jones County.Instead, the Lady Hounds’ schedule is peppered with non-region matches, a span of the season in which the goals are multi-pronged.

Holding the opposition to just one offensive touchdown, Clifton Ridge rolled over ACE Charter last Wednesday, winning 24-12 at Greyhound Field. The Cougars held the Gryphons’ offense scoreless until the game’s closing minutes after a second-half scoring burst put the game away.
