Chamber of Commerce Golf Tourney set Sept. 25The Jones County Chamber of Commerce will host its 25th annual golf tournament on Sept. 25 at Lake Jonesco Golf Course. Registration is $400 for 4-man teams by Aug. 1 with a $100 price increase afterwards.

High school football season kicks off in August, but players from across the state got a chance to get a leg up on their possible football futures Saturday morning at Greyhound Field as Earl Chambers Camps was on hand to host a prospect showcase with coaches from at least six colleges on hand.
