Jones County split a home match last Thursday against Lamar County as the Lady Hounds’ 113 score was seven lower than that of the Trojans, with the Greyhounds’ round of 165 being eight above that of Lamar County.

Before he stepped into the ring earlier this month in his UFC debut, Torrez Finney pointed out that he was glad to be able to zero in on winning.Finney has now done that, following a split-decision victory against Robert Valentin for the former JCHS two-sport standout.

Georgia wrapped up spring practice this past Saturday with its annual G-Day scrimmage, showcasing the competition for the starting quarterback job between Gunner Stockton and Ryan Puglisi.Both Bulldog quarterbacks struggled at times, but each also made some nice plays while under center.

The Greyhounds baseball program extended a hearty salute to its senior class prior to Monday’s final home game of the season against ELCA. Seniors were recognized prior to the first pitch along with their families. Parents of each player also threw out the game’s ceremonial first pitch.
