Man pleads guilty to child molestation

A 24-year-old Jones County man was sentenced to a total of 15 years to serve in prison after entering guilty pleas to three counts of criminal attempt to commit aggravated child molestation. Christian Alan Duncan entered the negotiated plea in Jones County Superior Court Jan. 3.

Five more defendants recently entered guilty pleas in a 2021 Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act case that began with 103 defendants. The number of unresolved defendants in the case are down to a dozen as of the Jan. 3 plea day in Jones County Superior Court.

A Milledgeville man arrested for the trafficking of methamphetamine in Jones County in 2021 will be serving 15 years in prison for a combination of drug and firearm charges. Tyrone Slater Hitchcock entered a guilty plea in Jones County Superior Court Jan.
