The author of a book inspired by the annual Gray Methodist Church live Nativity will be at the Jones County Library Saturday for a book signing.The latest southern fiction novel by Katie Hart Smith is “Go Light the World.” Smith will be at the library, located at 146 Railroad St. in Gray, Nov.

Gray’s City Council members wrapped up their monthly business meeting in five minutes on the eve of Tuesday’s election.Mayor Ed Barbee called the Nov. 3 meeting to order and led the opening prayer. Councilman David Tufts led the pledge.
