Council meets in new Business Development Center

The meeting of all committees for the City of Gray was held in the Gray/ Jones County Business Development Center last week to showcase the new facility and its capabilities.The Oct. 20 meeting was preceded by a special called council meeting, and Mayor Ed Barbee called that meeting to order at 6 p.

Defendant found guilty of child molestation

The trial of a Jones County man facing multiple child molestation charges last week ended in guilty verdicts in three of the five counts.Kirby Vincent Moore was arrested February 25 and indicted by a Grand Jury April 8. His trial started Oct. 28 and included more than a dozen witnesses.
