Doster paces Mercer to strong SoCon finish
Paced by former Lady Greyhounds cross country standout Laney Doster, Mercer tied a program-best at Sunday’s SoCon Championships at John’s Island, SC, finishing sixth as a team. Doster’s time of 18:43 was second among all Mercer runners, good for 31st overall.
In LaGrange College’s 70-16 loss to Belhaven, De’Queze Fryer had two catches for three yards. LaGrange concludes its regular season on Saturday against Southern Virginia.
Led by Teldrick Ross’ team-best eight tackles, Middle Tennesssee State snapped a three-game losing streak in a 24-13 win against UTEP. The Blue Raiders’ road swing continues on Saturday at Louisiana Tech.
