–George Sheffield Ye must be born again (John 3:7) Being born again is being saved. It has nothing to do with religion. It has nothing to do with baptism. It has nothing to do with how much you do or don’t attend church. It has nothing to do at all with what you can do to get in good with God.
It has everything to do with what Jesus did at Calvary. It is by His righteousness, not ours, that we can be saved. He never sinned. He never broke any of God’s laws.
He lived an absolutely perfect life. Therefore, when He suffered on the Cross, He was not paying for any sins He committed. He paid for our sins. His sinless blood is able to wash our sins away.
That’s why you must ask Jesus into your life, and let Him do the saving. Salvation is a gift from God and He offers it to you. But you must accept it in order for it to do you any good.
Rejecting it will mean an eternal Hell. “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” (John 3:36). Be saved today!
