Howard debuts as Georgia opens with 5-0 start
Former Lady Greyhound Destin Howard saw action for Georgia in its opening weekend at the UCF Black & Gold Tournament as the Lady Bulldogs started the season 5-0. In an 11-4 win on Friday against Ohio State, she gave up a run and three hits in two-and-athird innings worth of work in relief.
She also pitched two-thirds of an inning Saturday against UMass.
The Lady Bulldogs make their home debut this weekend in the Red & Black Showcase, hosting Stanford, Charlotte and St. Johns. Each game will be aired on SEC Network Plus.
James comes off bench to pace SGTC
Camryn James, a former Lady Greyhound standout, came off the bench to score eight points and have nine rebounds for South Georgia Tech in last week’s 62-49 against Georgia Highlands. The Jets are 25-1 and unbeaten in conference play and play Middle Georgia Prep, Albaby Tech and East Georgia to wrap up the regular session.
