In keeping with tradition, students from Gray Station Middle School, along with Coach Travis Lawson, visited the residents at Autumn Lane Health and Rehabilitation recently.
Members of the school’s football team, along with the cheerleaders, put on a pep rally for the staff and residents to demonstrate their school spirit and provide the residents with an entertaining treat.
Coach Lawson began taking his students to visit Autumn Lane back in 2019 and has made every effort to have students visit a couple of times each school year since then. The 2020 school year was a challenge due to school and business closings.
However, by October of 2020, Coach Lawson and the students were back on track with visiting and helping bring smiles to the faces of Autumn Lane’s residents.
Autumn Lane Health and Rehabilitation is Gray Station Middle School’s Partner in Education and Coach Lawson intends to continue to build strong ties with them as he teaches students the value of kindness and caring for others.
