With Jones County having residents not just near Gray, but also toward the county’s borders with other communities, there are also options to take of advantage of aside from spaces closer to downtown Gray.
The South Complex, located on Highway 49 at the Macon-Bibb County line, is one such venue with its 36 acres.
With a total of eight fields for softball and baseball, it not only hosts baseball and softball during the spring but also serves as needed as a home field for Clifton Ridge Middle School baseball and softball games as CRMS is just a few miles away.
Four of the venue’s fields are located within close proximity, making for a short walk to the concession stands. The fields also provide an additional option if needed for practices to be held, as space is needed. Two batting cages are also on site.
There’s also a football field onsite for practices as needed or as was the case earlier this year, a venue to host football recruiting showcase events.
