Clifton Ridge coasts by Monroe County
Clifton Ridge went 1-0 on the baseball diamond last week, coasting past Monroe County 12-4. Chase Hasty got the win, pitching four innings in allowing a pair of runs and striking out eight.
Hasty and Micah Howard led the way at the plate with three hits apiece. MJ Lane had two hits with single hits from Avery Gordon, Gavin Simon and Jay Stinson.
Clifton Ridge plays Friday at Pike County, hosts TJ Elder March 13 and goes to Byron March 16 before playing Gray Station on March 18 at Cecil Patterson Field. Gray Station’s upcoming games are Friday at Monroe County, at home March 14 against Byron and at Upson Lee on March 16.
