An exciting fall is ahead for the Volley Hounds following their best season in program history, and Jones County’s volleyball program will take another step forward later this summer when it goes to an off-campus team camp for the first time at Emory University.

Former Greyhounds’ defensive standout aboard to coach outside linebackers

As a senior during the 2021 season, Kaleb Wiggins helped anchor the Greyhounds’ defense with an excess of 100 tackles. Now, he’s tasked with helping spearhead Jones County’s defense as a new member of the coaching staff.

Women’s softball has again made its way to the fields at the Morris Bank Recreation Complex for another season of the Grayberry Women’s Softball League.Last week marked the second week of play this summer for the five-team league which has games currently scheduled into the second week of July.

Time after time, Jones County’s Coach Pitch Softball All Stars have shown an ability to dig deep and find another gear. As a result, their season will continue at this weekend’s state tournament in Augusta after finishing this past weekend’s sectionals as the runner-up.
