The time for middle schoolers to suit up for the Greyhounds on Friday nights is yet to come. But last week, strong roots were planted for the course of that journey as the Jones County High School football program hosted its inaugural Hounds Academy.

Greyhounds’ offense ‘light years ahead’ of a year ago

One spring ago, there was no other option for the Greyhounds on offense than to get up to speed quickly, albeit in less than preferred circumstances.

Hounds place in state’s top 10, eager for what’s ahead

The Greyhounds concluded the golf season with an overall finish of 10th in last week’s GHSA Class AAAA State Tournament. That placed Jones County among the state’s final top 10.But for the JCHS golf program, it’s not seen as much as an end of a journey but a beginning.
