Jones County went on the road and collected its first win of the season in style on Friday, shutting out Burke County 35-0. The Greyhounds, who generated two-first half scores off of turnovers to lead 21-0 at halftime, also got a fumble return for a touchdown in the second half from Nate Wilson.

Bingo night for JCHS athletics, middle school volleyball on Sept. 12

The Jones County community can benefit all JCHS athletic programs as well as middle school volleyball on Sept. 12 by taking part in the JC Athletics Bingo Night at the JCHS Gymnasium.The event will feature bingo, a silent auction, and a 50/50 drawing. The night is set to start at 6 p.m.

Lady Hounds take two more against Eagles Landing, ACE

Volley Hounds unsatisfied despite taking three of four

With 19 wins on the season, the Volley Hounds have already surpassed last year’s win total of 18.Needless to say, that mark stands to be shattered with the regular season set to wrap up early next month. But Jones County is hardly content.
