Following a record-setting season that was arguably the best in program history, Jones County officially celebrated its cross country program’s banner season with its annual awards banquet last Thursday. And they welcomed an appropriately accoladed guest speaker to mark the occasion.

Middle schoolers repeat as champions

With wins in both the dual and traditional formats, Jones County’s middle school wrestlers captured the Lake Country Region Tournament title last week, capping the coronation off with a win Saturday in the tournament held at Gray Station Middle School.
