The weariness of going against themselves in practice ended for the Greyhound wrestlers on Saturday outside Augusta as they placed second in their championship pool of the Harlem Kickoff Invitational after going 2-0 in preliminary matches.

For the third year in a row, the Cheer Hounds are bound for the state championships.By virtue of Saturday’s showing at sectionals at Walnut Grove, Jones County’s competition cheerleaders will again make the very short drive to the Macon Coliseum for the GHSA State Cheerleading Championships.

Independent Pro Wrestling at Rec Gym Nov. 17Georgia Independent Professional Wrestling will make its return to Gray Nov. 17 for a full card of scheduled events. Doors will open at 4 p.m. with the first bell at 5 p.m. at the Jones County Rec Center Gym.
