More trophies and medals came the way of Jones County’s middle school runners at last week’s GMC Bulldog Invitational.The girls won first overall, led by Phoebe Palmer and Mary Barnwell finishing second and third and Charleigh Feizet coming in ninth.

Beck ties single-game TD pass record in Tennessee Tech win

Carson Beck tied a program record by throwing five touchdown passes in a 48-3 victory at home on Saturday over Tennessee Tech. It was a career game for Beck as he became the eighth Bulldog quarterback to pass for five scores in a game.

Season underway for competition cheer

Competition cheerleading season officially began at Saturday’s Bulldog Invitational in Morgan County with both the high school and middle school cheer hounds taking to the floor of competition. Both teams return to action Sept. 21 at the Bear Invitational in Houston County.
