Hounds gearing up to finish strong

With less than a month to go in the season and a handful of region matches to play, the Volley Hounds are still finding plenty to dig in and strive for.Part of that drive came last Thursday in between competition of a tri-match against ELCA and Union Grove.

Lady Hounds rout Locust Grove, gain upper hand in postseason pursuit

It wasn’t much of an exaggeration that last Wednesday’s game against Locust Grove had very heavy postseason implications for the Lady Greyhounds.

Madison Marshall is among the younger runners to step up to the starting line as she competes as a fifth grader in the ranks of middle school cross country runners.That hasn’t fazed the Gray Elementary School student as of late, however.

Jontavis Robertson helped Duke stay unbeaten in Saturday’s 26-21 win against UConn as he caught three passes for 14 yards. The Blue Devils play MTSU this week prior to a possible battle of unbeatens the week after against North Carolina.Zion Ragins continues to be part of Oklahoma’s offense.

Greyhound Invitational to welcome massive field of teams

An enlarged field of teams will descend to the Greyhounds home cross country course Saturday morning from Albany, Savannah, Augusta and Athens as Jones County once again hosts its home meet.

Smart ‘proud’ of Bulldogs in Lexington

Georgia left Kroger Field in Lexington this past Saturday with a win over Kentucky, but it wasn’t easy.The Bulldogs defeated the Wildcats 13-12 in their SEC opener and head into the bye week with a 3-0 record. However, after the close win, they’re now ranked No. 2 in the Associated Press poll.
