Within the walls of what’s known as the JCHS Cheer Factory, the Jones County High School Competition Cheerleaders put in work and practice during the course of a year, working toward aspirations of winning region titles and competing among the state’s best.

Coley ready to hit ground running with Greyhounds

Since being hired as the Greyhounds new head baseball coach around the middle of May, Noble Coley estimates he has traveled back and forth between Gray and his now former school in Bacon County between three and five times.That’s a one-way trip of around 150 miles, by the way.

To represent the United States in this summer’s Olympics, track & field athletes must first be accepted in the United States Olympic Team Trials.Jones County’s Shareez Hamm is in that elite company, having been accepted into the trials in the 400-meter hurdles.
