The Georgia Ravens debuted with a win on the road Saturday, blanking the Winchester Ducks 20-0. The Ravens took control early, leading 12-0 at the half on the way to the victory.

The summer months are filled with activities to enjoy outside, and angling for catfish is among them as there are plenty of locations statewide to do so, according to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources Wildlife Resources Division.

Football, Cheerleading Registrations are still being accepted for youth football and cheerleading for this fall’s season in Jones County. Registration is $130 per person and is open through Aug. 1. There will be a mandatory uniform fitting, and a birth certificate should be brought when signing up.

Hounds look forward to resuming workouts after break

After nearly a month of voluntary summer workouts, the Greyhounds are in the midst of a two-week break. That respite will end next week following the second of the GHSA’s two summer dead weeks for all sports. After that, voluntary workouts can resume.
