Hounds topple Northside

Volley Hounds win two of three matches

With wins in two of their first three matches, volleyball season is underway for the Lady Hounds, who also hosted Northside in their home opener this past Tuesday. They play at home again Aug. 25 against Lamar County and Jackson, which will follow an Aug. 18 matchup at McDonough and Aug.

Lady Hounds harness momentum leading into region competition

The Lady Hounds go straight into the teeth of region play this week, with the past week beginning a pair of matchups with teams within the region against Locust Grove and Eagles Landing.

Sears, Greene to live broadcast every Greyhound game

Greyhound fans have something extra to look forward to this football season with the announcement of a local radio broadcast taking place for every game, both home and away. Adam Green and Kyle Sears will be broadcasting the first game of the year Aug.

Madison Maxwell, a rising Senior at Jones County High School, will join outstanding high school students from across the nation to take part in a unique academic and career oriented development experience, the Intensive Law & Trial Program at Stanford University.

Greyhounds Wrestling Club aims to grow sport

It’s been a recent banner stretch for products of the Jones County wrestling program. Earlier this month, one former wrestler, Nate Carr Jr., was named head coach at Davidson College, and another former standout, Torrez Finney, remained unbeaten as a professional MMA fighter.

Youth Soccer Sign Ups Ongoing There is still time to sign up for the upcoming season of Jones County Youth Soccer League as there is a deadline of Aug. 19. Mandatory tryouts are Sept. 8 and practice begins Sept. 13. Age groups range from 4-16 and registration is $100 per child.
