RUN TO GLORY

COLUMBUS - For the second year in a row, Zion Ragins has brought track and field state championship hardware back to Jones County.

Four Greyhounds officially sign scholarships

Next week’s commencement exercises will mark the end of a chapter for Jones County graduates, the final chapter before what comes next. That future is officially more clear for a quartet of graduating seniors from the Greyhounds football team that has won three region titles in a row.

Bulldog softball picks up NCAA at-large bid

ATHENS, Ga. – The University of Georgia (40-16, 12-12 SEC) secured an at-large bid in the 2022 regional tournament, announced Sunday night. The Dawgs will travel to Durham, North Carolina, to participate in Duke University regional.

Kiwanis Club gun raffle

Greyhounds enthused following spring practice, scrimmage at Veterans

BONAIRE – Sure, the scoreboard was turned on and points were recorded on Friday when the Greyhounds wrapped up spring practice with a scrimmage against Veterans. And while the final score read 24-21 in favor of the Warhawks, that was among the least things on the minds of the Greyhounds.
